Founded in 1945, KINDAI history began with the manufacture and sale of household and industrial sewing machines, starting with the request for overhaul of sewing machines. It was a series of failures and trials and errors.
We have developed a number of products for the first time in Japan, and the "Today’s innovation, Tomorrow’s world" has been passed down to the present day from the beginning. And as a reliable manufacturer of automated equipment for 100 companies, we will create a new future with our customers.

Chapter 01

Founding period

1945-1965

Sewing machine maker and
As an automatic equipment development manufacturer

1945

Established Terauchi Sewing Industry in Matsubara, Osaka.
1949

Reorganized as Dainichi Sewing Industry Co., Ltd.
Isamu Terauchi appointed as president.
1950

Started full-scale production and sales of household and industrial sewing machines.
1963

Increased capital to 4 million yen
1964

Started developing and manufacturing and selling automatic sewing machines and labor-saving machines.
1965

20th anniversary of foundation

Chapter 02

Entered textile sewing industry

1966-1975

Development of automatic equipment for the textile sewing industry

1966

Established a branch office in Tadaoka-cho, Senboku-gun, Osaka.
1968

Developed an automatic towel sewing machine and automatic bagging machine, and actively worked on the development of automatic equipment for the towel industry.
1969

Released Sewing Machine for One Side (KT-180) and Towel Folding Machine (KT-210)
1971

Changed the trade name to Kindai Co., Ltd. and moved the head office to Senboku-gun, Osaka Prefecture.
1972

Released Semi-Automatic Roll Slitter (722-C)
1974

Released Automatic Blanket Sewing Machine
1975

30th anniversary of foundation
Business negotiations become more active from overseas, and an additional factory is installed.

Increased capital to 19 million yen
Moved all sales, accounting and general affairs to 189 Kamiwaya, Izumisano, Osaka.
1993

Exhibited at Shanghai exhibition related to textile sewing.

Launched ultra-large diameter fully automatic Roll Slitter (KC-1214) for non-textile industries such as non-woven fabrics, urethane, felt and various foaming agents.
1994

President Isamu Terauchi becomes Chairman.
Manabu Terauchi appointed as new president.

Towards to 100 years company

2021-2045

Kindai Co., Ltd.'s slogan for 100 years company is "Today's innovation, Tomorrow's world."
This slogan means the spirit that has been passed down for many years since its founding, "to change the world with modern technology."

It is said that there are about 3 million small and medium-sized enterprises in Japan, but among them, well-established enterprises that have been in business for over 100 years are 1% of the total is about 30,000 companies. The country where so many well-established companies exist is Japan, no matter where you look in the world, Japan is undoubtedly the world's leading long-established company.

75 years since its establishment. Kindai history began with the manufacture and sale of household and industrial sewing machines, beginning with the request for overhaul of sewing machines. Looking back on the times, Kindai Co., Ltd., which was founded shortly after World War II, overcame many rough times such as high economic growth, oil shock, bubble economy and collapse, long-term recession, and numerous natural disasters. We have continued to grow to this day.

It takes 25 years to be called 100 years company, which may be a tremendous dream story. However, Kindai Co., Ltd. must be grateful for the gifts of support and assistance, with the spirit of "Today’s innovation, Tomorrow’s world" from the founding era as a 100 years company.
